Filmed in the Maltepe district of Istanbul, the subjects of this award-winning film are condemned houses. Like abandoned lovers that once shared good and bad moments, they are now rejected and left alone to self-destruct. Some are broken, disappointed and upset, while others remain proud. But if the lover were to return one day, there would be no possibility for living again together under the same roof as the houses are now worn down by weather and the ageing process. |
